National Karastan Month returns for its fall run from Sept. 18 through Nov. 2, giving flooring retailers a chance to promote premium carpet and hard-surface products while boosting revenue.
Campaign timing and product lineup
The event follows the “Style Meets Savings” spring promotion, which dealers described as successful. Anticipation is high for the upcoming fall schedule.
Featured items include Karastan Black Label on the soft-surface side and Karastan LuxeCraft Serenity (WPC), BelleLuxe Waterproof (laminate) and BelleLuxe Natural (engineered wood) on the hard-surface side.
Mohawk will supply participating stores with digital tools and marketing assets, aiming to make the period the strongest sales window in the brand’s history.
Dealer expectations and past performance
Bruce Odette, president of Denver-based Carpet Exchange, said the discounts “translate into meaningful savings for the customer” and keep Karastan as his top-selling carpet line.
Carpet Exchange, operating 17 locations, typically sees about a 20% increase in Karastan sales during the campaign. Odette noted the spring event was strong and expects a similarly robust fall result.
David Chambers, director of flooring at Omaha-based Nebraska Furniture Mart, reported success across carpet, hard surface and area rugs, creating opportunities for larger projects.
Compared with the spring rollout, the fall promotion follows the same structure of deep discounts and coordinated in-store and online messaging, suggesting the model reliably drives dealer uplift.
Long-standing participants see steady results
Steve Hendricks, flooring buyer for RC Willey, highlighted the mail-in rebate as a “compelling advertising message” that feels credible to shoppers.
RC Willey has joined the campaign for 15 years, noting that the rebate often spurs stronger interest than an instant discount.
Hendricks added that the promotion lets customers select from virtually any Karastan style while still receiving an incentive, expanding sales across the full assortment.
The retailer also praised Karastan’s point-of-purchase displays, which “stand out on our showroom floors” and simplify the value proposition for buyers.
Regional dealers highlight urgency and selection
Jon Moore, vice president of Fort Myers-based Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings, said the event creates urgency for customers already planning a flooring project.
Moore noted that the savings give shoppers “an extra reason to say yes” while allowing the team to focus on quality, style and overall value.
Steven Cootware, head of retail for Wayne Wiles, explained that confidence in the brand makes a difference, providing staff with a tool that helps close deals.
Susan Hadinger, CEO of Naples-based Hadinger Co., said the Karastan name, promotional pricing and sense of urgency make it easier for salespeople to bring the brand into conversations.
