Despite the buzz around imitation luxury planks and rigid core floors, strong hardwood sales confirm consumers still favor authentic wood. Retailers highlight their best-selling hardwood lines in this feature, showcasing ongoing demand for genuine products amid competing trends in the flooring market.
Top Hardwood Lines for 2024
For the Bruce Natural Choice line, retailers like AHF Products highlight the visuals available in low gloss and high gloss levels. The planks give you the solid wood look despite their 5/16-inch thickness and offer good value.
ADVANCED WOOD FLOORS in San Antonio notes the line is more of an upscale, rustic look that is being installed in some of the higher-end homes in the Midwest. Thornton Flooring in Rapid City, S.D., agrees with this assessment.
The Nordic Collection from Johnson Hardwood offers premium red and white oak in 7.5 and 9.5 inch widths that are very popular in the retailer’s area. It is a good fit for any project, residential or commercial, regardless of budget.
Lavalleys Building Supply in Dover, N.H., points out that this Johnson Hardwood line is the only hardwood in their showroom where you can pick your species, size, and color. The stain on those European oak finishes is just amazing. They just worked with a contractor that finished a $1.5 million dollar home with the product, and it has taken off like a rocket.
Brewers Carpet One/Flooring Options in Sarasota, Fla., highlights a unique 3-inch-wide-plank herringbone combo that allows them to do a lot, design-wise, with their custom builders. It is not your run-of-the-mill herringbone design.
