ZAMINE Perú has introduced the Tonly DTH 145, a 91-ton hybrid truck designed for the Peruvian mining sector. This vehicle combines a 765 hp WEICHAI engine with a 900 kW LEOG electric motor, integrating conventional and electric propulsion systems.

Hybrid Technology for Mining Operations

The model forms part of ZAMINE’s broader effort to meet the evolving demands of the mining industry. Jonathan Molero, sales manager for the Tonly line at the company, highlighted the truck’s features and its technological advancements for Peruvian mining operations. He explained that the hybrid system integrates both combustion and electric power, providing a solution for firms that need high-capacity equipment with modern propulsion methods. This design maintains the performance needed for demanding mining tasks while offering operators flexibility in how they manage energy consumption.

Focus on Capacity and Safety

A key attribute of the model is its payload capacity, which allows it to transport large material volumes in a single trip. The truck is engineered to handle the rigorous conditions of mining, emphasizing load capacity, reliability, and safety. Safety enhancements include a fire-suppression system with sprinklers mounted above the engine and emergency buttons in the cabin and on the floor. These measures aim to provide rapid response capabilities in critical situations.

In addition, the vehicle features a dual-piston system for hopper lifting, improving stability during unloading and enhancing safety during material handling. The design also incorporates reinforced cab structures and ergonomic controls to protect operators during long shifts in harsh weather.

Advancing Mining Technology in Peru

Molero noted that the combination of capacity, innovation, and safety features makes the vehicle well suited for the country’s diverse mining environments, from high-altitude copper belts to low-lying gold deposits. He added that the design aligns with the sector’s shift toward integrating diverse systems for optimized performance, allowing operators to adjust power sources based on the specific demands of each job site.

ZAMINE’s development of the Tonly DTH 145 demonstrates its commitment to providing heavy machinery that meets the mining industry’s increasing production and safety requirements. The firm has made detailed specifications and ordering information available through construproductos, giving interested parties direct access to technical sheets, warranty terms, and after-sales support options.
